With Memorial Day weekend coming up thoughts are turning to summer and vacation time.
Here are 5 tips to help you make sure that you’ll find your cash, jewelry, laptop, electronics, and other valuables in their place when you come back.
- Make it difficult for a burglar to get into your home – invest in good locks.
- Don’t leave your house key under the door mat or flower pot. That’s the first place a burglar will take a look.
- Give the key to a trusted neighbor and let them know that you’ll be gone and for how long.
- If you have an alarm system turn it on.
- If you have a second car, park it in the driveway instead of the garage. Just make sure to take out the garage door opener.
